Pre-order online
Our store opens mid-December. Browse the varieties, pick yours, and pay ahead so they're saved for you.

Pick up in February
Come to Smith Mill Works on a pickup day. Our crew will pull your order with you and help choose the best plants.

Pot up, then plant
Bare-root plants do best potted in good mix for a few weeks before going in the ground. Care tips →
Paid in plants
Volunteer at the sale
The sale runs on fellow plant people. Trade your time for plants at $15 an hour. Help set up, staff the tables, or clean up afterward.
Choose the volunteer option at checkout, then email us so we can add you to the schedule. We send it out in early January.

Live stakes for streambanks
Our region needs streambank stabilization in a big way. Live stakes are dormant cuttings that root right where you push them in. They're the most efficient way to hold slopes and banks.
If your property was badly damaged and you can't afford stakes, email us directly.
