The “Aristocrat of pears,” Bosc is known for a buttery delightful texture, excellent flavor, and suitable for poaching.  Classically shaped pears, with russet cinnamon skin. Once established, these trees produce for up tp 100 years! This fruit sweetens early before becoming soft, which means unlike other varieties, you can eat them right off the tree. It is nicknamed the “Winter Pear” because it is harvested around the Autumnal Equinox.

Plant one of these varieties within 50′ for best pollination: Barlett, D’Anjou, or Comice.
