White spring blossoms, great cold hardiness, bountiful yield, what more could you ask for in a cherry tree? North Star produces large quantities of tart cherries that are ideal for baking, preserving and any culinary use you can think of! Tart cherry juice has proven useful in dealing with gout and a myriad of other health conditions, and tart cherry flavor lends itself well to a variety of recipes. Given our cold winters and high humidity, tart cherries are known to produce better than sweet cherries in our climate. The North Star is self fertile, but may produce more fruit with another compatible cherry planted nearby.
